I went ahead and bent the lines for the brakes. The second one I made was much better than the first, so the third one ended up replacing the first...as is usually the case with me and tube bending. Since my brake lines will be connecting the top of the Grove one piece gear, I don't need to connect the fittings at the bottom of the LG box and connect the brake lines as with the standard gear. Therefore, I made the brake lines long and they will be trimmed to fit later. I like the way these came out.
