Selected a location on the tip rib that allowed the nearest to vertical installation of the transponder antenna. Looks like it will be about 18deg from vertical which the documentation says should be near ideal. Made a filler block to go between the upper and lower wing tip rails and glued in place along with the balsa mounting block and the antenna itself. I plan to drill a 3/8 hole through the spar end for the coax cable to pass through then support it with 1/8 plates and grommets at every nose rib clear to the root rib.
