I had to take the right fuel tank off the wing because I forgot to run the wire for the fuel level gauge. While it was off the wing I decided to give the inside a light scuff with some scotchbrite and then prime the tank underneath and on the sides with normal primer. Once this was dry I scuffed the outside and the tank and sprayed with a 2 pak primer/filler. Once dry I wet rubbed the surface down with 600, ready to paint. I drilled a small hole in 2 of the Z mounting brackets and put in a rubber grommet with the sensing wire coming through these, cable tied and stuck down so the cable will not vibrate during flight. Now I can put the tank back on the wing permanent. Tank is bolted and torqued and I put marking paint on the bolts so I know this is done and dusted.
