Brief Description:  Wing Root Cover Plate

Removed the plastic from the wingroot cover, cleaned up the edges with a scotchbrite wheel and started the marking of the holes for the wingroot cover, clecoed the top of the aluminium cover on the rear (I drilled and dimpled one screw hole and screwed in place) where the platenuts are already in the wing, pull the cover around and make sure the rear holes match up with the already screwed/dimpled holes in the lower wing. Now you can match drill the holes through the cover into the wing. With the cover on, measure with a ruler 3/16 min 1/4 max distance from the fuselage and mark the cover with fine tip pen, cut away excess, clean up edge, drill holes to suit screw required, countersink dimple the holes. Drill holes in the wing out to size and rivet on platenuts. Scotchbrite the cover, alodine and deoxidine ready for primer and paint.
Temporarily fitted.
