I haven't entered much lately, in fact I haven't really done much lately, but the estimated time of 40 hours to finish my panel is around the mark. All holes have been cut, I riveted on the map box, then filled over the rivet holes so they couldn't be seen, primed, sanded, primed, sanded etc etc. I painted it myself a couple of times but wasn't happy with the result, so I sent it up to Guy Matthews in Naracoorte for him to prepar and paint. I wanted it to be perfect because the panel is the one part of the plane I will be looking at most. It turned out perfect. Nice and glossy, the same colour as my interior. Love it.
I also made the mount for the autopilot servo which is mounted in the rear of the plane so it can be connected to the elevator control.
