Brief Description:  Cutting Canopy

After bending my frame in approx 1/2" more because the canopy will make the frame bend out once fitted, I decided on doing THE CUT today as the weather is nice and winter is approaching. Trimmed off the mould edges and this was great to get a feel for how it is going to cut, very easy if you take your time. Worked out the centre of the canopy, used fishing line and drew a line, slipped the frame into the canopy and found the best fit of the two. Drilled out the hole for the canopy latch (a bit frightening as thinking please don't crack) with a plexy drill and then used a step drill to make the hole slighly larger than required, using a coach bolt to hold it down together while I marked the line for the big cut.
I used tape to hold the canopy together as it had became floppy once the mould edges came off, marked my line and cut away carefully and taping every few inches to hold canopy together and presto it came aprt nicely, not sure what all the stree is about.
