Brief Description:  Frame

I cut the bottom of the canopy where the rollers insert into at the right height so there is 3/8" height difference between the roll bar and canopy frame. Drilled these with 1/8" drill and clecoed. Thought it would be better to do this now and then start bending and forming the frame to my fuselage. Once again it was a case of measure, measure, measure & cut. The left side I had to lift slightly as it was cut shorter (I used a pipe/tube cutter). I made a template of my fuselage shape on some particle board and I am going to try and bend and form my canopy on this first to get the desired shape. So first placed it over the fuselage, traced underneath with a pen and then using baking paper and a pencil traced this outline and then transposed it onto the top of the particle board. Will se how this goes, and should save the trouble of putting canopy on and off too many times.
