Completed step 1 page 11-06. Riveted F-1287J doublers to the F-1287A servo trap with LP4-3 rivets oriented as shown in Figure 1. Final drilled and reamed pivot holes to 0.250. When drilling holes got some material between the doubler and servo tray when drill broke through to the other layer. Cleaned out but doubler did not lay perfectly flat any longer. Decide to order new parts from Vans and put another unit together this time clamping the outer edge of the doubler to the tray while drilling. Completed step 5 page 11-06 final drilled 0.250 hole in the F-1287C link. Deburred and primed link per step 6. Inserted bushing into the F-1287C link per Figure 3 per step 7. Filed inside of bushing to obtain the maximum thickness of 3/16” specified in Figure 4.
