Brief Description: Picked Up Empennage Kit at Van's
Made a trip down to visit Van's and pickup my empennage kit. Crated kit was ready to load when I arrived at 8:00 am. Had it loaded and secured to flatbed U-Haul trailer by 8:30 am. Stayed around for the 9 am tour which was quite interesting. It was a Friday and the shop was not working that day. Highlight was getting to fly in the RV-12 and see how the airplane handled. If I had not been fully hooked before this did it! I had the RV grin for sure and could not wait to get started on my own.
After getting home I removed the crate top and unloaded all the parts into the garage onto my mobile shelve unit. I had gotten the hardware kit so there were lots of rivets. Started the inventory of the component parts. Amazing how everything was packaged - no damage seen.
