Brief Description: Routed String and WH-P30 trim wire
Completed step 4 page 10-08 – routed string for stabilator control cables. Completed step 5 page 10-08 – routed WH-P30 trim wires through snap bushing in F-1211 assembly then through the J stiffener on the left side of the fuselage. Secured the wire with tie straps per plans. WH-P30 cable labeled as S/N 041203 with a tested good date of 4/24/12. Per step 1 page 10-09 installed static port rivets SD-42-BSLF in correct locations. Drove mandrels out to provide open port. Decided to check nutplates for mounting vertical stabilizer in F-1211 assembly per discussion on VAF forum about nutplates. Used AN3-5A bolt with Boelube to check each nutplate. Thankfully all are good. – will check nutplates in the future prior to assembly to make sure they are all OK prior to installation. Completed step 1 page 10-11 – final drilled #19 screw holes 8 places in F-12106 forward skin rib. Completed step 3 – dimpled the F-12106 #8 for screw holes then completed dimpling of the 3/32 nutplate attaché holes in F-12106 as well. Deburred and smoothed edges then cleaned and primed F-12106 forward skin rib in preparation for installation of nutplates.
