Brief Description:  Seat Backs and Rudder Pedal Assembly

Completed steps 1-4 page 26-04. Cut a 14 ½ inch length of hinge pin. Made a one inch long, 90° bend at one of the ends. Filed the other end of the hinge pin to make a dull point. Attached the F-1237G Seatback Brace to the back of the Seatback Assembly, by inserting the 14 ½ inch hinge pin through the F-1237F Fwd and Aft Hinges as shown in Figure 1. Drilled #52 a hole in the F-1237G Seatback Brace next to the bend at the end of the hinge pin as shown in Figure 1. Secured the bent end of the hinge pin using safety wire through the #52 hole. Completed step 5 - Cut four 5 1/2 inch lengths of hinge pin. Made a one inch long, 90° bend at one end of each pin. Filed the other end of each hinge pin to make a dull point. Seats will be installed later in the build. Completed step 1 page 27-02 - Split the F-1235A Inbd Rudder Pedal Block and the two F-1235B Outbd Rudder Pedal Blocks as shown in Figure 1. Marked the split parts so that they remain together and so that they can be assembled in their original, pre-split orientation. Completed step 2 - Clamped the WD-1206 Rudder Pedals using the F-1235A & B Rudder Pedal Blocks as shown in Figure 2. Be sure the rudder pedals are oriented as shown in the figure (long end and short end together), and placed the heads of the bolts on the bottom so that the clamped assembly will lay flat on the work surface. Completed step 3 - Slid the WD-1211-L & -R Brake Pedal Torque Tubes into the WD-1206 Rudder Pedals as shown in Figure 3. Completed step 4 - Made sure that the F-1235A & B Rudder Pedal Blocks are all flush against the work surface (clamped down), then slid one of the remaining WD-1211-L or -R Brake Pedal Torque Tubes (doesn't matter which one) into both of the WD-1206 Rudder Pedals as shown in Figure 3. This locked both rudder pedals into the neutral position. Completed step 5 - Temporarily attached the BRAKE MAST.CYL.RIGHT-1 & LEFT-1 Right and Left Brake Master Cylinders to the WD-1206 Rudder Pedals and WD-1211-R & -L Brake Pedal Torque Tubes as shown in Figure 4.
