Well the day finally arrived for the big move to the T hangar at Pierce County Airport - Thun Field. I rented a U-Haul truck as I felt that it would be easier to load with the loading ramp for my bigger tools and work tables. The truck would also provide a good flat floor to place my completed airplane parts to keep them from being damaged. I rented the truck near the airport so it would be easy to return at the end of the day. For the first trip I loaded up all of the tools , work tables, and other items at home in the garage that I would move to the hangar. It was a full load and took several hours to load up. Unloading took less time and then the 2nd trip I carefully loaded the airplane parts both the completed assemblies for the vertical fin. rudder, stabilator, and trim tabs as well as the remainder of the parts for the empennage section. I had rented a couple dozen moving blankets which proved very helpful in wrapping and protecting the items during the trip. Everything got to the hangar with no damage so I was very thankful that all had gone smoothly. It was a long day but well worth it. Now comes the fun of getting everything organized and setup at the hangar so that I can get back to actually construction on the plane.
