Brief Description: Finish tail hardware prep and disassembly
Finish disassembling tail parts and label hardware. Reinforce L & R aft horizontal stabilizer mounting tubes by inserting smaller diameter tubing (2" lengts) secured with epoxy putty and 3 additional 1/8" rivets.
Trim 1/8" from vertical stabilizer tail post so that gap between fin and fuselage is 5/8". Then line up rudder so tops are flush and drill out 3/16" holes into trailing edge of vertical stabilizer for the 3 rudder hinges.
Locate HC-3 (L&R) rudder horns. Drill out 3/16" holes where indicated and test fil with HH-21 (AN3-13A) bolts and locknuts. Disassemble and label hardware for final installation after covering with fabric.
