These mufflers were made from stainless steel sheet metal, which was rolled into a tube and spot welded. Inside is a tube made of rolled stainless steel mesh which was rolled with fiberglass. No tests have been made to establish the noise reduction I would expect it to be 3-6 dB. There has been no speed penalty with these on.
