Brief Description:  Brakes

Bob Pastusek helped with plumbing the brakes through the gear legs.

Removed wheel attach castings from gear legs.Removed the nylaflow tubing and fittings from the gear legs. Cut stainless steel tubing to length and fitted into gear leg. Attached tubing at wheel end with compression fittings. Attached tubes at fuselage end with compression fittings and brackets to attach to upper end of gear leg.

Attached hydraulic fittings to brake calipers and gear leg. Mounted SS braided hose between fittings.

Worked on finding a satisfactory way to route hose from top of gear legs to a fixed point to transition to hard tubing. I am finding this quite difficult since the gear rotates approximately 140 degrees from extended to retracted. There is very little room between the rear seat bottom bulkhead and the top of the gear leg to route hose so as to absorb this much movement. I am planning to purchase #3 pre-made hoses in hope of getting a tighter bend radius.
