Final trimming and fitting of oil door. Adjusted hinge wire to various holes in the phenolic and the sliders. Found that the phenolic holes closest to the cowling surface worked best and provided adequate spring pressure to hold the door in the closed position. Ground down phenolic and nylon until no unnecessary material remained.
Door works perfectly...very smooth yet closes positively. No visible hinge, latch or support. Pressure inside the cowling should force an even tighter seal.
