Fabricated phenolic blocks holding AN3 bolts. The phenolic blocks were drilled to 3/16" and slotted to a depth of the bolt head. The bolt heads were ground to flush with the shaft on two sides. Bolts were bonded into blocks and placed into copilot seat aft mounting holes. Phenolic blocks were shaped to bevel down in all directions.
Areas of tank bottom over the spar box and copilot seat mounts were covered with plastic tape as a release. Previously cut 4 bid carbon sheet placed on top of aft footwell tank.
Layed up 3 bid carbon over spar box area extending 2 inches onto carbon sheet.
Four inch, 3 bid tape layed up around all perimeters extenting 2' onto bottom and 2" onto sides.
