PolyFibre Covering Fuselage and Fuselage Bottom 1/4
The fabric covering of the fuselage involved a number of steps:
- The fabric was prepared as an envelope for the top and the sides of the fuselage, with the seam lining up with one of the top stringers along the fuselage ans along the ridgeline of the Vertical Stabiliser.
- The bottom ofhe fuselage and the sides below the doors was covered with a sepaerate piece of fabric
- The bottom (closing) overlap was along the bottom main framing tubes. either sides.
- Poly tacking and stretching material over the fuselage followed with the ironing completing the process
