Auxilliary Fuel Pump and modification fuel line routing and Floor Panels
To provide adequate fuel flow to the fuel servo it was decided to add an EFII fuel booster pump to ensure an adequate regulated fuel pressure of 30 psi exists at the fuel servo. The model chosen is a BPM-1 series booster pump and the pump was mounted on a sub-panel fitted with nutplates to allow easy removal of the pump module.
The pump came complete with a pre-filter, which can be exchanged during the annual inspection.
To allow easy access to the component of the system, i.e. the fuel selector valve, the gascolator, the pre-filter and the fuel pump itself, the florr panel arrangement was changed from the original access plate type arrangement by splitting the main pannel forward of the controlstick arrangement. this allows the removal of the entire panel for easy access.
