During the initial installation/fitting of the tail strut to the fuselage it became evident that there was insufficient engagement with the fork end connection to the fuselage and the strut.
The solution for this is presented in an Engineering Change Note from Bob Barrows, which calls for the replacement of the threaded strut end with welded in place rod end (AN490 HT6P)
This modification subsequently allowed the required engagement length with the for end, as called for in the specification
