Fuel System Pressure Testing
Following torque testing of all fuel connections in the system, the entire system (Aux Tank, Main Tank, Feed Line to Fuel Selector - Gascolator - Aux Pump - Engine Fuel Pump) was pressure tested, as follows:
- Torquing check of all connections and sleeve protection of all fuel lines where lines were crossing or being close to aircraft structure.
- The vents of the fuel tank caps, including tank vents were then fitted with balloons and caps installed in the wing tanks,
- The system was then pressure tested individually, i.e. port tank system, starboard tank system and "Both" system, using the fuel selector valve.
- All three systems were tested for a period of 5 minutes and then signed off.
