The GMU was installed in the port wingtip and the cable routed inside a Poly-Flo Polyethylene 3/8" tubong fitted trough the 3/8" rib alignment holes in the nose of the wings.
The bracket was made from aluminium, as per the outlines in the garmin manual and the assembly rivetted with structural Cherry Rivets to the bottom skin in front of the mainspar in the outermost rib bay.
