Wing Tip - Navigation Lights 1/2
- Support base for the navigation lights were made from plywood and the contouring using high-density foam. - following final contouring of the sandwhich construction, the support base was fibreglassed to the wing tips with several layers of woven glass cloth.
The reinforcing tape was blended in with some glass fibre putty and sanded to the final contours and received a layer of primer coat to restore some of the gelcoat sanded into.
