Oil Cooler Manifold and Support Brackets:
- Given the anecdotal evidence of fatigue cracking of the rear baffle on many installation, I decided to remotely mount the oil cooler on a support frame fixed to the engine mount and connect the oil cooler with a SCAT tube to the cold air supply from the baffle plenum.
- templates for the aluminium manifold was then created from a shaped polystyrene foam core, which allowed then to create the expanded view of all cutting planes. Assembly was a fully rivetted box
