- To provide clearance to IO-360 forward engine intake pipes, blisters were made with Carbon Fibre layups, using the following steps:
* Polystyrene plugs were shaped to a teardrob shape * Three layers of carbon fibre applied to create the shells * Three layers of carbon fibre cloth applied directly to bottom cowl to create the teardrop flanges
