Not under the canopy, not under a fibreglass panel, not under the cowling but up here in the breeze, the only problem being its 3/32" off to the left due to the underlying rib. The transponder rod is supposed to be at least 3' away from the rack to prevent rf interference, but the max recommended coax distance is 8 feet, under the co pilot seat in the outboard bay ended up as the best compramise
