Vans sugest using a peice of wood with a notch in it to form the strengthening flange around the lightening holes,but it was not working for me so I hunted through my old tool box from my mechanicing days, and found a dished washer of the top of a suspension strut and the outer race of an old wheel bearing, clamping the two together made a neat flange around around the lightening hole.
