Brief Description: Attaching fuel tank and leading edge to main spar
Had to go out and buy an infra red heater. It's getting bloody cold in here these days!(3) The spacing between the leading edge rivets and the main ribs is such that it's very difficult to get a rivet set onto the head. Various builders talk about severely grinding down a rivet set for the job, or even using blind (pop) rivets. It may seem ridiculous but I found that putting the manufactured head on top, feeding the air line and gun through the access holes in the leading edge and then setting from underneath with a dolly gave me perfect results on every rib. I used my digital camera in night mode to check rivet heads for smiles.
