Brief Description:  Starting on the TailCone section

Trimmed the F-1012E Tie Down bar to the shape shown on the plans, then threaded the F-1012E with a 3/8 x 16 tap. Attached the F-1012A and B together with clecos, oh almost forgot the deburring begins. Started to make he Rudder Cable angle F-1011E out of the stock AA6-032 x 3/4 x 3/4 but mistakenly picked up one of the longerons F-1031. Talk about a huge mistake, wow. This piece of material is going to cost me lots. The angle aluminum is 96.5" long, making it just a couple inches to long for normal freight. I know have to pay some ridiculous price for oversized freight for a piece of angle aluminum that only cost about $12. Oh well I have to deal with it now and continue on. Sadly I found out that the correct piece of angle aluminum is not in my kit. I think the previous owner of the kit forgot to include it. This is frustrating because now I have to order that piece as well.

I put together the F-1011 fuselage bulkhead and "straightened" the F-1011C parts and continued on to the F-1010A HS attachment. I made this part slightly to short but used it regardless. I have looked at the build plans and have realized what else will be attaching to them. I plan to take a closer look at the attachment point of both the F-101A and the longerons. This will be the critical attachment area with a rivet holding the both together. If I find the F-1010A not to satisfactory length then I will make a new considering this one is only 1/8 to short. (Got a little carried away with the grinder is suppose) Finished up by deburring and finally drilling parts of the F-1007 and F-1008 frames.
