No work today got asked to pick up a 2001 Piper Arrow from KDRI for a local flight school. It was a fun trip dodging the very intense thundershowers, ATC was telling mostly everyone on an IFR flight plan to deviate as needed to avoid them, luckily going over there I had radar in the Seneca but coming back it was the good old see and avoid. At one point the lightning was bad enough that you heard the static in the headset.... not where I wanted to be. But is was a fun trip
Side note. I use to own a 1973 Piper Arrow so it was fun to fly this newer model but my overall impression was... give me my 1973 Arrow II over the newer one any day... guess I like the Hershey bar wing better.
It is actualy an old trainer from PanAm flight school
