Made the garage ready for paint by organizing everything then sweeping the floors and covering various items. I started the primer process with doing the following: Primer: 8 oz (filter 190 micron) Catalyst: 4 oz (filtered 190 micron) let sit for 1.5 hours Add Reducer (Thinner): 7 oz (filtered 190 micron) let sit for 30 minutes then spray with HVLP gun with 1.4 tip This process has worked before with results much better than I had this time. As seen in image 3 there seems to be little bumps in the paint. I am using a very high-grade air filter followed by a second inline filter at the gun. I am convinced it is not contamination from the airline source.
I am thinking the bumps are un-dissolved paint. I am going to try mixing much longer. I am also going to try to spray a very fine mist of paint from the gun with a super light tack coat followed by a slighter heavier coat for coverage.
