Brief Description:  Rivet Rear Spar, Rivet Ribs

Today I riveted the rear spar area where there is a skin overlay, the trailing edges of the elevator where the trim tab is not. This required me to Cleco together the E-1008 ribs together making special note of how the two rib halves overlaid each other. A special long bucking bar to reach under the skins and into the rear spar to buck the rivets was needed to attach the top and bottom skins to the rear spar. The area where the hinge for the trim tabs was not riveted. There was a small learning curve to this since the bucking bar didn't meat perfectly parallel to the spar surface. Once I go it all tweaked I was able to drive all the rivets with no problems. Section 9-12.4

Then the rib halves where riveted together using LP4-3 rivets. This step required small hands to manipulate the rivet squeezer in the back portion closest to the rear spar, not much room to work back there!!

The front spar was ready to be Cleco'ed into position finally. I then rivet the front rib halve to the front spar using LP4-3 rivets.
