Brief Description:  Paint

After Alumaprep and Alodine it was finally time for priming. I visited Home Depot and bout four 2x2 and some porch screen and made a large spray table. Wow did this help a bunch for painting! Painted all the parts and then some. I am still having problems with the primer; very small "bumps" are showing up in the painted surface. I put one of the parts under a microscope trying to figure out what the small bump might be, what it turns out to be is a small bump of paint that is not dissolved. When first starting to paint the bumps are more populated per sq inch than say after an hour of painting. So the second pot I mixed up I mixed as directions stated and then I let it set for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Now what I noted from the very first pour of primer into my mixing pot was that those small dots of paint I have been seeing on the finished product are showing up when I pour the un-catalyzed primer into the mixing cup. My suspicions now are that there might be something wrong with the actual primer paint. So I let the primer and catalyst sit then I added the reducer and let it sit for 1 hour also. The end result was much better than previous attempt but still not good enough in my book, there are still some bump in the paint. I might place a call to the paint manufacture for some advice. I also strained the paint before pouring into the pot.
