After Lyle left I started work on riveting 609PP to 603PP using the C-Frame tool. I put some rivets in backward at first so I could draw an outline of the manufactured head, then I put the rivets in the correct way and drove them. The circle left by the manufactured head gave me a good gauge of making sure the rivet was being driven straight and a well formed shop head resulted. I soon discovered how important it is to hammer straight down, because a few of the rivets had to be drilled out because the shop heads were over to one side.
