Brief Description:  Prime skins for the second wing

Today's task is to prime all of the wing skins for the second wing. Six big panels plus a selection of smaller bits for the wingtip. It was raining as I got started at 08:00 but with a promise of improvement soon. I hoped so, as I really need to be able to work outside. In anticipation, I pushed some stuff outside. See picture 1, which includes the original wing crate that I am still using to house the skins.

Of course the weather man was wrong again. It rained on and off all day until about 16:00, by which time I was done. I, therefore, had to make alternative arrangements for temporary storage. See picture 2. The upper, complete, wing is put to use as somewhere to lie the sheets ready for priming. Same with the bottom skin.

In spite of the inclement weather, excellent planning ensured that the deoxidine treatment was done by 10:30, the paint booth was up by 12:00, and the priming was done by 15:00. The rest of the day was spent clearing up. I even found time to wipe down my clecoes which were all bunged up with yellow stuff.
