Some final titivation prior to an inspection by the LAA Chief Engineer. With the wings attached, I could see for the first time the quality of the paint job. Sadly, this left something to be desired. One wing leading edge has nasty paint runs that will have to be attended to. These are painfully obvious, to me at least. There's also some yellow overspray that will need to be removed. I spent some time with abrasive polish, but this will need much more time before I will be happy.
I had left the landing light lens off the starboard wing to make it easy to mask the light unit. Unbelievably, the painter did not bother, so I now have a black landing light unit. I have had to send the unit back to AEROleds for repair :-(
