Brief Description: Final prep for fuselage painting

I spent ages with ruler, pen & paper, computer, masking tape, and camera getting ready for the paint shop. The fuselage will be painted black, and yellow trim lines added on top. The trials with masking tape will have to be pulled off before the painting, so I took numerous photos (which I will spare you the ordeal of viewing all of them - but you do get three examples, Pictures 1-3) and wrote-up copious notes explaining exactly how the plane should be masked up to cover the various orifices, and to get the trim lines in the right place. I'm not sure I would want to paint from these instructions alone, so I went at it with sufficient detail to satisfy me, at least, that this could be done in my absence.
I had booked a time slot with the painter when I would be away at Oshkosh. The good news is work will progress during my down-time. The bad news is I'm not readily available to help/consult with the painting so it's all down to trust and written communication, neither of which are in abundant supply in business transactions...
