Last but not least, I have run the engine once. The plane was fully chocked and tied down, particularly as the brakes still need bleeding. The idle speed was much too high (now adjusted) but other parameters seemed to display as expected on the Dynon.

Tim will want to run fuel flow checks on the electric and mechanical pumps to ensure there's adequate fuel pressure and flow. To date I have observed the electric pump emptying the tank of useable fuel prior to the weight and balance. Max flow rate was 68 litres/minute (ample) at 0.2 psi. This dropped to 40-something as the fuel level dropped towards zero.

Placards are now complete. I got a local signwriter to make me a stainless steel plate (£35 or thereabouts). They also made some plastic signs with limitations etc. These were thrown in for free. Just need to put marks on the wheels/tyres now.
