Brief Description:  Buttoning stuff up

I have tested the ASI and Altimeter on several occasions in an attempt to eliminate leaks. I have now double safety-wired all airline connections (including the static ones in the tailcone), and this has improved matters. I have also used PTFE tape on the plastic plugs connecting to the Dynon. I now think the leaks are coming from my test kit attachment to the pitot tube and the static vent, so I'm ready to call it a day if Tim agrees.

Interior trim has been mostly installed once before and reinstalled today prior to a weight-and-balance. I have to say it is not a perfect fit, but nonetheless looks OK. I've still to remove the wings to finish velcroing the seat-pan section.

All interior inspection panels have been buttoned up, because I believe (hope at least) that there are now no leaks here. Lots and lots of screws to do up, some not so easy, and all time-consuming.

I'm about ready for the weight and balance, having reinstalled the cowl and tail fairing after a month. I have fabricated chocks and a base so that the plane can be rolled onto three electronic scales in the right attitude (main wheels two inches up). I'll do this to satisfy my curiosity but will no doubt have to repeat it when Tim is available to inspect my work.

All the relevant stuff has been recorded in the Production Acceptance Procedure (PAP) document. I have also applied for a radio license, registered the ELT, and completed the LAA and Dynon paperwork as far as I can go, pending Tim's inspection.
