The two-axis Dynot autopilot is an option. It can be retrofitted. The servo brackets and the wiring are included in the base kit.
At this point I have not ordered or installed the kit although I would like this option. The decision is partly financial, and partly because I don't yet know what the LAA position on this option would be.
At the LAA's request I have investigated simulated trim runaway as part of the initial test flying. Without an autopilot the attitude change will get your attention quickly. Behaviour with an autopilot is currently unknown, to me at least.
