Tim came along to inspect progress. I showed him the minimal clearance on the spinner, the No 2 exhaust, the fin cap mod, the tight canopy handle, the loose rudder cables.
He had comments on the cowling pins, the work-in-progress (missing split-pins), insufficient support for some pipes/wires in the engine room.
We tried another fuel tank leak test and, predictably, failed that too.
Verdict was "good spannering", keep going.
Final task was to load the fuselage onto a trailer for transport to the painters. Thanks, Tim and Keith.
As I write this, at 19:00 on 24th, I should be packing for Oshkosh. I'm on a 9:30 flight from Edinburgh to Newark, then Chicago, tomorrow morning...
