This kit contains a large number of small parts. It is highly desirable to spend time organising a means of filing and subsequent retrieval of parts. The inventory is organised into sub-kits (of the Fuselage sub-kit), but these sub-kits are not referred to in the plans, so it is not necessarily desirable to file the parts by sub-kit. Parts are invariably referred to by the part number or the hardware code for rivets, nuts, bolts etc.
In my ignorance, I did file the parts in their sub-kits, but I had a cross-reference listing showing which part numbers were in each sub-kit. I found this on the VAF web site and it was indispensable. My filing system worked for me - only once or twice did I have to hunt for parts.
It's worth noting that each kit has small packages of hardware. Mostly these contain the same or similar parts, but occasionally a small component is buried in a hardware package. If you cannot find a part look in the hardware packages!
