I had found just enough of the small pop rivets to finish off the panel. As expected, it was a tough job drilling out the two rivets which should have been securing the camlock. Failure was achieved using a small drill, a lage drill, a right-angled drill. Success was finally achieved after removing as much of the back of the rivet as possible with a dremel, then filing down the remains, and levering out the head with a bradawl. Fortunately, I managed to do all of this with no damage to the paint on the panel or enlarging the holes. Four rivets later and that job was complete.
The only step remaining was to add two nuts and bolts to secure the mapbox to the instrument panel floor. This was probably the toughest spannering job of the lot. All for something I would rather have replaced with a second Dynon!
