Brief Description:  Installing static ports

The static port is just a pop rivet with an outsize machine head. The instructions were a bit vague, but the web site was more helpful. Use the manual rivet puller so that the rivet can just be pulled partially - just enough to secure the rivet in the hole, but not enough to break the mandrel. The instructions call for the mandrel to be "knocked" out to leave a hole (static vent). Easier said than done. I could not get the mandrel to pop out. My solution was to chop off all but the last 1/4 inch of the mandrel, place a big nut over the shop head then use the rivet squeezer to squeeze the mandrel through the hole in the nut. Worked fine.

The other side was easier as the mandrel popped out, just as instructed!
