Finished the empennage inventory today. Again lots of small parts, and hardware to check. All correct, however. Not only that, but Vans had shipped the missing items from the fuselage inventory - a nut and a couple of nutplates. Very impressive service!
This time I put the subkits into plastic containers which are now sitting on top of the fuselage box. These will be the first parts to be used up. The long, thin, items (tailplane spar etc.) are sharing the wing spar box, and the skins are sitting on another high shelf out of harms way. There are a couple of pre-bent skins up there - I hope they remain the same shape while waiting for their turn in the assembly queue.
