Brief Description:  Log Notes

I plan to maintain this log throughout the build of a Vans RV-12 light sport aircraft. Here's some notes that I have written up as I went along, to aid readability.

1. I have defined 20 Categories plus "Miscellaneous". Some categories relate to history, some to workshop and tools, some to the sub-kits that the aircraft is delivered in, some to options I puchased, and finally some to use after completion of the build and test.
2. I have attempted to identify the page number and steps in the plans, in each entry. Inevitably multiple steps and sometimes multiple pages are covered in one entry, so its use should be taken with a pinch of salt.
3. I have attempted to refer to parts with the specific names defined by Vans. Where this is the case I have used capital letters.
4. I am the first to confess I am a complete novice builder, with no metalworking or engineering experience. Any "advice" should be considered alongside advice from other builders. In any case Vans documentation and guidance and, where relevant, country legislation should prevail. I obviously accept no responsibility for anyone else's actions arising from reading this log. Lecture over!
5. Text and pictures are copyright, but can be used for personal (non-commercial) use.
6. I can be contacted by mail at keith.boardman@peopleserve.co.uk. No commitments on responses, or response timescales. Happy to make corrections, even speling, identified to me.
7. This Kitlog software has an annoying habit of presenting multiple entries with the same date in other than the sequence in which they were created. If you see several entries for one date you will need to read all of them and make your own sense of the sequence.
8. I have added retrospective notes between asterisks e.g. * blurb, blurb *
