I spent a good while figuring out how to do the rectifier nutplate job properly. I managed to drill out the rivets from the back easily enough. I then had to reverse the dimples on the firewall shelf. I don't have a fancy tool for this, so I resorted to a hammer and a dimple die. Not an elegant solution, but no-one will see the result. Getting the nutplates lined up from inside the firewall was another matter. I ended up pulling them up with a piece of safety wire.
Pictures are from yesterday's work.
Picture 1 shows the firewall forward looms plugged into the back of the panel.
Picture 2 shows them all routed through an Adel clamp beside the left cooling fan.
Picture 3 shows them all appearing next to the engine mount stand-off through the hole in the firewall.
