Brief Description:  Wings!

Had some help today, so went ahead and put the wings on for the first time. Removed the wing tips, removed the spacers that have been in the fuselage for a long time and then with the help, installed the wings. They went in no problem. Then installed two drift pins per side. Then I leveled the plane, and set plumb bobs, two on each wing, on the leading edge to make sure the wings were square to the fuselage, with no fore or aft sweep. Then I set the incidence by making the spacer, and using my digital level and pushing up slightly and clamping in place. Got them within .2 degrees. Then I drilled the holes for the attach bolts, by starting small, and working up, finally using the reamer for the final size. Temporarily installed those bolts. Then I clamped the fuel tank attach brackets together. Tomorrow, I'll bolt the bracket down, and drill the other hole. Then drill the hole for the two brackets, remove the fuselage bracket, and cut the "slot" in it. Then I'll drill the wing root fairing, and the wings will be ready to be removed again while I install the platenuts for the wing fairing, and drill any wiring access holes. Then I'll put them back on for good. Hopefully, this will all happen this week. Next week, first engine start.
