Brief Description:  LE to spar riveting

Riveted inboard most rib of right leading edge to spar, which wasn't too bad. Then I riveted in the 2nd and 3rd ribs, which was a little tougher. Luckily, I have long skinny arms and was able to reach through the lightening holes holding the tungsten bucking bar between two fingers and hold the rivet gun from below (aft) and fire away.... Checked them with the long reach mirror and a flashlight. That third rib especially was tough. Beat up some rivet heads pretty good, but structurally safe. Just for kicks, shot one more rivet in the 4th rib, which is in the middle, but has a spar lightening hole right next to it. The hole was just big enough for my hand to squeeze through and hold the bucking bar. I don't think the last outboard most ribs will be as hard as those inboard ones. Also did a preliminary leak check on the tanks by sealing off all vents and lines, pluging the fuel drain with my finger and blowing into the fuel return line until the baloon I attached inflated. Only held that for a few seconds, but I didn't hear any hissing and the pressure stayed on the ballon. Released mouth pressure and felt and heard the air rush out. Did this on both tanks and the early votes are in - no leaks or small ones if there are any. Still keeping my fingers crossed until next week when I'll give them a good test.
