Started fitting the left step by bending it with the vise and the rubber hammer. Got it to fit pretty well. Then I drilled the holes in it, and then put it in place and match drilled the fuselage skin. I put a small reinforcement strip over the top aft three rivets for just a little extra support. It has the rib for vertical support, so this provides a little lateral support. Not sure it's needed, it seems pretty sturdy just how it is, and it is only attached to the skin. The support block that attaches the end of the step isn't even clamped in yet.
